IOSH Accessibility statement

Ease of use

The IOSH occupational health toolkit website is designed to be as accessible as possible, and aims to comply with recognised web standards and UK government guidelines regarding accessibility. It is fully compatible with popular screen-reading software, and can be navigated easily using just a keyboard.

What are accessibility standards?

The site adheres to the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) content accessibility guidelines, with all pages on the site scoring at least an ‘A’ rating, and the majority of the site meeting the ‘double A’ or ‘triple A’ standards.

Access keys

Most browsers let you jump to specific links by typing keys defined on the website. On Windows, you can just press ALT + an access key + ENTER; on Macintosh, you can press CONTROL + an access key.

All pages on this site define the following access keys, when using Internet Explorer:

  • Access key 0 - Switch between text version and graphics version
  • Access key 1 - Home page
  • Access key 2 - Contact us.

Browser

IOSH aims to make the OH toolkit website compatible with all Internet browsers. However, if you are using a browser version at level 5 or earlier, you may see inconsistencies in the presentation of pages.

You may find it helpful to download the newest version of your browser. The following can be downloaded free of charge:
